Mrs. Janette Schmidt
Greenwaves! Welcome to Meade County High School where #WeAreMeade: a community who takes pride in our beautiful campus together--supporting one another! I am super excited about this upcoming school year even though we continue to face challenging times in our lives. I believe in us and know our caring culture we are building together will continue to shine!! I recommend we all strive to find the silver lining in all we do, whether it’s within our control or not. As we celebrate our senior class of 2021 and welcome the class of 2025 we expect each of you to contribute your remarkable talents to our community in the year ahead. In the past several years, our student body has been setting the bar high with students being transition-ready--meaning, college and/or career ready, even during a pandemic! We intend to continue to build upon this success as we keep dreaming big for our awesome students and community. I believe in us! I know we will continue to ride the wave where all students at MCHS will continue to become post-secondary-ready graduates, acting as informed, active, and well-rounded citizens in our community. Three years ago, I am proud that together, we collectively created six MCHS Core Values that we continue to live by at MCHS: Respect, Responsibility, Positivity, Community, Pride, and Service. We, at MCHS, are in the business of building and cultivating our people, our future, and together, we can create the best Greenwave experience possible.
Meade County High School is founded upon the assumption that you should choose to live a happy life characterized by ample opportunities. To this end, a rigorous and relevant high school education is the most important element to foster your skills that will prepare you to go further in whatever college or career path you choose.
Pursuing your future story is hard work. As citizens of the Meade County community, we have a responsibility and expectation to lead by example and give our best to care for one another, communicate effectively, and encourage one another to take some risks. You should know that your efforts at MCHS will help strengthen the future of our entire community and the generations that will come after you. You are responsible for the legacy of Meade County High School and our Meade County community. Now let’s have an awesome year--because #WeAreMeade!
