Tri-M Music Honor Society is a high school music honor society that is designed to recognize students for their academic and musical achievements and to provide leadership and service opportunities to young musicians. A program of the National Association for Music Education, MCHS Tri-M Chapter 2363 provides an opportunity for music students to be recognized for their talent and hard work while also channeling their Greenwave spirit through service to their school and community.
This is an opportunity for students in grades 10-12, enrolled in a music course at their school, and recommended for membership by their school's music faculty. Members must maintain an A average in their music classes and at least a B average in all of their academic courses.
Activities include an induction recital, quarterly recitals, Halloween/Valentine Karaoke parties, Christmas caroling, field trips to performances at Derby Dinner Playhouse, Kentucky Center for the Arts and other performing arts venues.
